Marshall, MO – Man & Woman Hurt in Car Crash on MO-240 near MO-41

Marshall, MO (January 7, 2024) – A man and woman were treated for injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Saline County on Friday afternoon, January 5. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the crash at around 1:40 p.m.

According to reports from MSHP trooper J. W. Hunter, a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 2008 Subaru Forester collided on Missouri Route 240 near Missouri Route 41. The force of the crash caused the Chevrolet to overturn. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. The driver of the Chevrolet, 44-year-old Brandon Smith of Sedalia, Missouri, and the driver of the Subaru, 72-year-old Vicki Sauble of Marshall, Missouri, were both injured. EMS responded to the scene to render aid to the victims. Sauble was transported to Fitzgibbons Hospital by Saline County EMS for further care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
