Warrensburg, MO (January 13, 2024) – A 29-year-old woman was flown to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident that took place on Thursday afternoon in Johnson County. The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at approximately 2:10 p.m. on January 11.
According to area law enforcement, a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix collided with a 2008 Peterbilt 389 tractor-trailer on the northbound side of Missouri 13. The incident prompted authorities to close the roadway just south of County Road Northeast 600. The driver of the Pontiac, identified as Cayleigh Clouse of Clinton, Missouri, was severely injured. She was airlifted and flown by LifeFlight Eagle Air Ambulance to the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
