Knob Noster, MO (March 23, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in Johnson County ended in injuries. The accident occurred at around 4:35 p.m. on March 21.

According to reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper MC Mennemeyer, a 2007 Dodge was stopped in the left lane of US Highway 50 while waiting to make a turn at a crossover near Route D. The crossover was occupied by a second vehicle at this time. For unknown reasons, a 2016 Ford over took and struck the Dodge vehicle. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the accident and had to be removed from the scene by the towing company.

Three people were injured in the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the scene and treated 18-year-old Faith Lewis, 20-year-old Eryn Barr, and 49-year-old Sondra Sigmund. The three victims were subsequently transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
