Oak Grove, MO – Two Hurt in Hwy F Crash near Nivens Rd

Oak Grove, MO (May 21, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported at around 7:30 p.m. on May 18 left two people in Jackson County injured.

Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that the driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at a stop sign near Highway F and Nivens Road. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the side of a 2008 Ford F-450. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to collide with a 2022 Ford F-450. All three vehicles were severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. Two people were hurt as a result of the collision. EMS transported 22-year-old Ryan Skaggs to Research Medical Center. The second victim, 70-year-old Steven Deetz, was transported to Lees Summit Medical Center. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
