Car Accidents in Missouri

Car accidents in the state of Missouri some tens of thousands of people to local hospitals with injuries on an annual basis. In fact, statistics from 2022 show that approximately 1060 people lost their lives as a result of accidents while tens of thousands more suffered injuries that required medical care. Although there are several types of accidents that take place, rear-end collisions can have overwhelming consequences.

When it comes to car accidents, rear-end collisions are some of the most common, and yet they can be particularly dangerous. One of the main reasons for this is that the force of a vehicle colliding into the back end of another vehicle can cause the stopped vehicle to jerk suddenly and violently. This movement can lead to serious injuries for passengers in both cars, including severe whiplash and even traumatic brain injuries.

Additionally, as drivers tend to slow down quickly when hit from behind, there is a higher likelihood of chain reaction crashes or multi-car pileups where multiple vehicles are involved in an accident as a result of one vehicle being pushed forward.
