Richmond Twp., MO (May 9, 2024) – On May 7, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Ray County and ended in injuries. The accident was reported at around 9:15 a.m.

Official reports indicate that a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country collided with a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on Highway C near the intersection of West 130th Street. Further investigations determined that the Dodge crossed over the center line and collided with the Chrysler for unknown reasons. The Dodge came to rest in the center of the roadway while the Chrysler went off the road and came to rest in a ditch. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident.

One person involved in the accident was injured. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Cara Ford of Richmond, Missouri, was transported to Ray County Hospital by Ray County ambulance for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
