Prairie Village, KS (May 4, 2023) – A pedestrian was left with injuries following a hit-and-run accident that took place in the Prairie Village area on Tuesday afternoon. Calls for assistance came to the Prairie Village Police Department at approximately 10:07 p.m. on May 2.

Official reports show that a male pedestrian was walking in the 2800 block of Somerset Drive during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a white Ford pickup truck, which was traveling east on the roadway toward State Line Road. The truck fled the scene of the crash.

Authorities arrived at the scene and located the pedestrian on the sidewalk suffering from injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

The police department is currently trying to locate the driver of the involved vehicle. Investigations into the crash are underway.
