Concordia, MO (April 22, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Lafayette County on Saturday, April 20. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m.
According to official reports, a 2023 Tesla was traveling on Highway 23 when it became involved in a collision near Concordia Lake Road. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to go off the roadway and overturned. The vehicle was totaled in the accident. Two people were injured as a result of the crash. Emergency medical services responded to the scene and rendered aid to 24-year-old Joseph Thibodeaux and 20-year-old Amy Ayala. Both victims were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Concordia EMS. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
