Fristoe, MO (June 5, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Benton County claimed one man’s life. Missouri State Highway Patrol was informed of the accident at 925 p.m. on June 3.
Law enforcement reports indicate that a 2023 Freightliner was traveling on Highway 65. After being stopped on the roadway near Route CC, the driver of the Freightliner failed to yield and began to make a left turn. As a result, the Freightliner collided with a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck. The Dodge was totaled as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle, 84-year-old William Bishop of Tunas, Missouri, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
