Raymore, MO (June 4, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of an automobile accident in which at least one person was hurt. The accident was reported to Cass County officials at around 11:55 a.m. on June 1.
Police reports show that a 2012 Freightliner collided with a 2009 Volkswagen Routan on the northbound side of Interstate 49. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway just north of North Cass Parkway. Both of the involved vehicles were damaged as a result of the crash. Two tow trucks responded to the scene to assist with the removal. A 70-year-old man involved in the accident was seriously injured. The victim, identified as Curtis Johnson of Belton, Missouri, was transported to Research Medical Center by South Metro EMS. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
