Kansas City, MO (June 7, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested to provide help at the scene of a car crash that occurred in Clay County and ended in injuries. The incident took place at around 1:00 a.m. on June 6.
According to police reports, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 when it crashed into the rear of a 2021 Chevrolet Bolt just south of North Brighton Avenue. Both vehicles traveled off the left side of the roadway and collided with a cable barrier. The two cars were totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet Bolt, 39-year-old James Preston of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was injured. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
