Lee’s Summit, MO (May 26, 2023) - A Jackson County car crash reported on Wednesday left two people with injuries. The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at approximately 9:00 a.m. on May 24.

Reports provided by MS HP indicate that a collision between a 2021 Ram ProMaster 1500 pickup truck and a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 470. The accident blocked the roadway just north of Woods Chapel Road. Reports indicate that the ProMaster was slowing down when it crashed into the rear of the Dodge Ram pickup truck. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.

Two people involved in the crash, identified as 23-year-old Spencer Eastwood, who suffered minor injuries, and 60-year-old Jim Harshfield, were treated at the scene. Harshfield was then transported by ambulance to Centrepoint Medical Center, where he underwent further treatment.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
