Evil Twin Defende

As a Kansas criminal defense attorney, I have used the "some other guy did it" theory at trial. However, I have not had the opportunity as a lawyer to use the "my evil twin did it" defense. A soldier named Aaron Lucas had been accused of several sex crimes and tried to blame the crimes on his twin brother, Brian. Aaron has since recently plead guilty to all charges, including four counts of sexual assault on a child, three counts of enticement, two counts of indecent exposure and one count of kidnapping.

He states that he decided to plead guilty so he did not cause any more problems for his family. A judge had just recently ruled that Aaron would be able to name his brother Brian as a suspect in his defense. However, he chose to plead guilty instead. This situation has happened before in cases where a Defendant has an identical twin and points the finger at them in an attempt to create reasonable doubt to a jury.
