Lee’s Summit, MO (June 29, 2023) - One man was left with significant injuries following a car crash that took place in Jackson County on Wednesday, June 28.
At around 11:15 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash that took place on the westbound side of US Highway 50.
According to officials, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado collided on the westbound side of the highway near South Alley Jackson Road. The incident prompted officials to close down a portion of the roadway.
Medics were called to the scene to provide care to the injured victims. One person involved in the accident, identified as 34-year-old Santos Ortiz Acosta, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency treatment.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
