Deer Creek Township, MO - Jean Laury Flown To Hospital After Crash on MO-7 near Cold Springs Ave

Deer Creek Township, MO (May 9, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 80-year-old Jean Laury was airlifted from the scene of an accident that took days in Benton County on Sunday evening with serious injuries.

The accident was reported just after 4:15 p.m. on May 7.

Reports provided by MSHP show that a collision between a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze in a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe took place on Missouri State Route seven at the intersection of Cold Springs Avenue. The impact of the crash sent the Tahoe off the right side of the roadway, where it struck a stop sign. Both of the vehicles subsequently came to rest in the center of the road.

The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, identified as Laury, was seriously injured. She was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Tahoe, 43-year-old Andrew Ehlers, was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri, where he was treated for minor injuries.

At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
