Lee’s Summit, MO (March 28, 2024) – Two women were injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Jackson County on Monday, March 25. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident just before 5:15 p.m.
Reports from authorities indicate that a 2015 Ford Edge and a 2015 Ford Explorer were both traveling northbound on Interstate 470. As the two vehicles attempted to slow down for congestion near mile marker 13.8, a 2018 Kia Sorrento crashed into the rear of the Ford Edge. The impact of the crash caused the Ford Edge to strike the Ford Explorer. All three vehicles were severely damaged in the accident. Two people were hurt as a result of the crash. The victims, 36-year-old Ashley Goucher-Graber and 40-year-old Rachel Dolle, were treated at the scene. Goucher-Graber was then transported to the University of Kansas Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the accident is under investigation.
