Lee’s Summit, MO (September 11, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Jackson County at around 4:25 p.m. on September 9 injured one man.
According to law enforcement reports, a 2010 Ford Edge was stopped for congestion on the southbound side of Interstate 470 near mile marker 15.6. For unknown reasons, a 2001 Ford Ranger crashed into the rear of a 2024 Audi Q5. The impact of the collision pushed the Audi forward, causing it to collide with a Ford Edge. Two of the involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Audi, identified as 60-year-old Robert Branscumb of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was injured in the crash. He was transported to St. Louis East Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
